Drywall Repair in Denver

a hole in drywall

Drywall is notorious for getting holes, dings, dents, and cracks. Every home with drywall probably has a few. There’s no shame it. There are many things that can cause such damage: A door without a stopper, an amateur or DIY home improvement project, moving furniture, a settling foundation, or – dare we say it – a heated domestic dispute. (It’s cool. We’ve all been there.)

Unfortunately, these holes, dings, and dents can get in the way of the perfect paint job. And the last thing we at Harmony Painting want is for our customers to not be 100% satisfied … Or to have to call an additional contractor to work on their home prior to our arrival.

Well, we’ve got great news! . . .

Harmony Painting does Drywall Repairs!

We love performing drywall repairs on our projects. By having the ability to offer in-house drywall services we are a step ahead of the competition. If we are painting the interior of your home, and there are a few drywall holes that need patching up in order for the job to be completed, we got your back. There is no need to hire an additional service provider before Harmony Painting arrives. We’ll patch the hole, paint over it, and make it look like nothing happened.

drywall joint compoundChoosing the Right Joint Compound

We always use the correct types of joint compound when we are repairing drywall. We take the time to make sure that the texture we are applying is as close as possible to a match. For a drywall repair to look seamless, the joint compound has to be applied in layers; it can take up to 5-6 applications for a room. Not only does this process take a significant amount of time, but there is also a considerable cost associated with that amount of compound.

There are plenty of companies that do drywall repair exclusively. The advantage to hiring a company that does both drywall and painting, like Harmony Painting, is that you are basically paying for 2 separate services, but getting them for the price of one. You can then choose to hire us to do both jobs together on the same day!

When hiring a drywall company, there are several things that you should look at before making your decision. The first thing is how long has the company been established? Did they offer any references or testimonials? Do they have any reviews online? Are their prices reasonable compared with other companies in your area? Are they insured and bonded? All of these questions must be answered before signing any agreements with a contractor. And another important factor to consider is if you feel comfortable enough with them that you would let them into your home without supervision. If that is not the case, then maybe they are not the company for you.

What are the Symptoms that Indicate it’s Time for Drywall Repair Service?

Sometimes it is obvious when you need to repair your drywall. For example, if there’s a big hole in the wall. Other times it’s not so obvious. If you notice cracks, bulges, or bubbles that are slowly growing then you should have your drywall checked for repairs by a professional.

Some of the most common symptoms are water stains, which indicate there is probably a leak somewhere around the ceiling of the room where it appears. Cracks in window or door frames could mean there is an issue with the foundation of the house. Sometimes these cracks can lead to bigger problems if left unattended long enough. So call Harmony Painting today so we can come to take a look at your home and determine what needs to be done!

We Can Fix All Types of Issues from Small Holes to Large

We have experience with all types of drywall issues including water damage, ceiling cracks, small holes, large holes, and more. No matter what your drywall issue is Harmony Painting can fix it!

Not all drywall damage looks the same, and it’s important to know the difference before calling a contractor. If you do not, you may pay for expensive repairs that aren’t even necessary! Here is a list of some of the most common drywall damage and how we can fix them:

  • drywall hole on the ceilingWater Damage: If there is ever a leak in your home, whether it’s from a roof leak or water coming through the foundation and down inside of your walls, this will cause water damage on your drywall. This can come in several different forms including cracks in windows or door frames, ceiling stains, bulging walls, and more.
  • Small Holes: Small holes are typically caused by nails popping out on picture frames or wobbly furniture bumping into the wall over time. This can also cause your drywall to cave in and bulge out.
  • Large Holes: If you have a large hole in your wall, then it’s most likely that someone kicked or punched the wall while it was already in bad shape, causing more damage than before. Or maybe there is a space between studs resulting from the fact that they were not nailed closely enough together when construction first began.
  • Cracks: This type of damage is usually due to shrinkage or expansion of the drywall. If your home is in an area with drastic temperature changes, then cracks may appear in your walls from day to day. Also if there was a leak in the roof and water leaked through, causing swelling on one side of the wall, then it’s also possible that cracks will form over time.
  • Bulges: You may have large bulges or small ones too depending on what caused them to occur in the first place. If there is a space between studs because they were not nailed closely enough together when constructing your home originally, this can cause a space for air and moisture to get inside behind your drywall resulting in bulging walls or ceilings.

Note: Most smaller “drywall only” jobs don’t qualify for Harmony Paintings minimum job order size. However, we can always recommend a great handyman to help or to add services to take advantage of the savings.
