TL;DR: Harmony Painting holds a 4.9-star rating across 269 Google reviews as of July 2026, plus an A+ BBB rating. Below you will find real reviews organized by service (exterior, interior, cabinets, drywall, fences, commercial) and by area, each linked to the original on Google. We also included our less-than-perfect reviews and what we learned from them, because a review page that only shows the good ones is not telling you the whole story.
Why we built this page (and why we included the bad reviews)
Most painting company websites show you three glowing testimonials with a first name and no way to check whether the person even exists. We think you deserve better than that. You are about to trust a crew inside your home or around your property, and the single best predictor of how that will go is what past customers say when they have nothing to gain.
So we did something different. We pulled our real Google reviews, organized them by the type of work and the kind of property, linked every single one to the original source, and included the reviews we are not proud of. As of July 2026, Harmony Painting has a 4.9-star average across 269 Google reviews. That number is the honest result of more than a decade of work in Denver homes, and the handful of rough reviews in that history taught us lessons we still use today. You can read all 269 for yourself anytime on our Google Business Profile or on Yelp.

Exterior painting reviews
Exterior work is where Denver’s altitude, UV, and hail test a painter most. These reviews come from homeowners across the metro area, from South Denver to Lakewood and Arvada. Curious about our process? See our exterior painting services or read when to paint your exterior in Denver.
“Sergio, Daniel, Jose, and Team all did an outstanding job painting our home. From start to finish Harmony did a great job from a customer service, pricing, and painting standpoint. The team worked diligently and professionally while onsite and went above and beyond to address even the smallest paint and caulking corrections with a smile on their faces, even after working outside all day in the heat. Forget the other guys… these are the people you want using best paint (Emerald) at WAY LESS COST! Don’t think, go with Harmony TODAY!!!”
“I checked 4 other contractors, and Harmony was in the middle for cost, but there was a gut feeling that they were legit. Chad was honest with no pressure when he came out for the quote… The crew lead, Dorian, I told him that they could come back if they need to, as it looked like the job was possibly not going to get done that day. He assured me, ‘We are not under any pressure.’ That was a great relief knowing that they prioritized the job being done right, with no time constraints! The office manager, Julie, assured me that if I find any mistakes that they will come back and fix them. My house was close to $6k. They ALL did a fantastic job. This company does what it says and is a great example of integrity!”
“From my first call to Julie in their office, to the onsite estimate from Breslin, the color consultation by Carrie and the painting by Manuel and his team the service was exceptional!… Carrie was amazing in the way she understood my vision but made some adjustments to the colors I was leaning toward to help me achieve it to perfection!… Manuel went above and beyond to offer a suggestion on how best to repair some damage to my siding that wasn’t even in our original quote without any extra charges! Ultimately, my house looks incredible now – I love it so much! You can really tell how much this family-owned business cares about their customers!”
“Harmony only uses the best paints (Sherwin Williams Emerald – Read Consumer Reports this is the best stuff out there if you want the paint to last) and was the only painter that we had bid that recommended 2 coats. 2 coats are a big deal in Colorado, especially if you are choosing a darker color, because it ensures that the color lasts longer and doesn’t fade… Our house had a large list of repair requests including damaged attic vents, puffy siding, and holes from an awning we removed. Sergio did a fantastic job repairing these areas and the price was fair using great quality materials.”
“They did great job from the start of the estimate all the way through to the end of the project. Karina and her crew were great, and very detailed and professional. We love the final result of our newly painted exterior. We highly recommend Harmony Painting and would definitely use their services again.”
“Very pleased with the crew (led by Diego) from Harmony Painting for the exterior of our home after a referral from a local colorist. The crew did an excellent job in a very timely manner (one day shorter than we expected). They worked a full day to ensure expediency and communicated well the few times we needed to chat about logistics. Definitely recommend Harmony Painting.”
“Our 15-year-old stucco house needed the exterior painted. Shelly handled the quote very quickly, and her experience and knowledge regarding the painting business was very evident as she answered our questions. She helped us pick out the perfect paint color… The job was completed even sooner than we expected. Our house looks brand new! We highly recommend Harmony Painting.”
Historic and older home reviews
Denver’s Victorians, bungalows, and older brick homes need painters who understand original wood, old plaster, and lead-safe practices. Harmony is an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm. Reviews below mention specific neighborhoods like Central Park and homes dating to the 1890s.
“We hired Harmony painting to paint the entire exterior of our 1890’s brick Victorian. They did a truly wonderful job and I could not recommend them more highly… One of the main reasons we selected Harmony (they were in the middle price-wise) was that they were willing to do minor carpentry work. Albert did it all himself. Nothing major – just replaced a few soffit boards and trim pieces – but saved me from having to hire a carpenter. The rest of the crew did great prep and paint work in brutally hot conditions.”
“Julie got us on their schedule quickly, and Breslin gave us a really fair estimate. We had a couple complicating factors with our project, including a bit of carpentry that we needed as well as a need to scrape and sand certain parts of our home where some old vines had been. Other companies were going to make us pay dearly for that work. Not Harmony… They were incredibly thorough and attentive to our property and our neighbors’ property, as we have tight quarters between houses in the Central Park neighborhood. Don’t hesitate to pull the trigger with this crew. They charge a real fair price for a high level of service.”
“Our experience with Harmony Painting was great start to finish. The sales representative was very knowledgeable and exhibited command over the job, a historic house with lead paint. Carlos oversaw the painting and carpentry and was very attentive to ensuring the process and output were exceptional, timely, and matched our expectations. We would recommend this company!”
Interior painting reviews
Interior projects mean crews inside your home, sometimes while you live there. These reviews speak to how our teams treat your space, from prep and masking through the final walkthrough. Learn more about our interior painting services.
“We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Karina and her team. From our very first interaction, they were kind, professional, communicative, and incredibly attentive. They showed up exactly when they said they would, treated our home with so much care and respect, and never made us feel like just another project… Karina genuinely wanted to make sure every detail met our expectations and wasn’t satisfied until we were completely happy with the final result. That level of care and customer service is so rare these days, and it made the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable.”
“I bought my first house and was looking for a repaint of the interior. That being said, I didn’t know a whole lot about paint specifically — the team at Harmony couldn’t have been more helpful! I spoke with several companies and the rates seemed to be the most competitive given how thorough the process was and the service quality… cleanup was included in the cost as well as a professional cleaning service after job completion, which was a huge additional bonus!”
“We chose Harmony to paint the interior of our home because their quote was very detailed and precise (and lower than the other company we spoke to which gave us a lump sum quote)… The day after the job was completed, we found a few minor things we wanted touched up and the manager (Sergio) replied immediately and came on the next weekday to make sure everything was completed to our satisfaction. We will definitely call Harmony again the next time we have a painting project and wholeheartedly recommend them.”
“I had my entry way, living room, kitchen, hallway, and stairway painted… These 4 guys got all the painting done in one day! It looks great. Dorian was very friendly! He and his crew went above and beyond after the painting was completed. They hung some shelves back up for me and also moved my heavy furniture back in place. I will definitely use Harmony Painting again for future painting projects.”
“Best interior paint job I have ever had. Crew leader Manuel and his team did an excellent job and finished ahead of schedule. All were friendly and took much care in the performance of their job. Project manager, Carlos, followed up with us to insure our satisfaction… They did everything that they said they would do.”
“Harmony did a superb job! I needed the entire house interior painted: walls, ceilings, trim, and some cabinets. It came out flawless! The attention to detail was beyond my expectations. Carlos and Nubia are extremely competent. Highly recommend!”
Cabinet painting reviews
Cabinet painting is detail work with no room for shortcuts, and it is one of our most-reviewed services. If you are weighing your options, our post on cabinet painting vs. replacement costs in Denver breaks down the real numbers. See also our cabinet painting services.
“We were worried about painting cabinets and based on the reviews we chose to give Harmony Painting a shot and we are more than thankful we did. Our cabinets look like they were always meant to be that color. The thing I appreciated the most with Carlos, Luis, and team was their attention to detail. Luis was more worried about the job being perfect rather than just getting it done. They take pride in their work and it shows.”
“We hired Harmony Painting to paint our kitchen and pantry, including our kitchen cabinets. Harmony did an excellent job in delivering a high quality paint job at a very competitive price. In addition, it was super easy working with the team. In particular, Carlos and Leo provided excellent customer service and I felt that the quality of the finished product and our satisfaction was at the top of their mind.”
“Great service from quote to finish! The team at Harmony painting were professional, friendly, skillful with attention to detail! We were quoted, scheduled and completed all in one week! Thank you Julie for the friendly front end work/quote and big thank you to Sergio, Daniel and the rest of the on-site team!”
“The crew Carlos and Jose direct are the kindest, and most detailed painters I have ever seen… They draped everything – covering cabinets, furniture and floors. There was not ONE DROP OF PAINT out of place. This company KNOWS what it is doing. And I’m picky!!”
Drywall and popcorn ceiling reviews
Popcorn ceiling removal is mentioned in 11 of our Google reviews, and drywall repair comes up constantly in Denver’s settling older homes. Read more about why drywall repair matters before painting or see our drywall repair services.
“Harmony did an awesome job with updating the den in our house. They removed every trace of our (hideous) popcorn ceiling, refinishing and painting it so that you’d never know the 1970s had happened. But besides the quality work, Carlos, Eli, and Johan were courteous, communicative, and a delight to work with.”
“Harmony stepped up to the plate on an extensive drywall skim coating and painting job at a competitive rate. We anticipated hiring separate companies to skim coat, retexture and paint over 10,000 sf of walls and ceilings but Harmony was able to handle all of it… they worked closely with our other contractors to sequence the work in the midst of a large remodel and even came back to touch up work after the rest of the trades finished.”
“I can’t express enough how impressed I am with Carlos and his team. They tackled a difficult 15-foot vaulted ceilings with both painting and drywalling, all within a tight two-week window, and they delivered. It really changed the look of the space.”
“Harmony framed and drywalled a basement bedroom. They did cost effective, efficient and professional work + (and this is really important) provided timely and regular communication. Reliable honest business.”
Fence, deck, and staining reviews
Colorado sun and snow are brutal on fences and decks. These reviews cover staining, pressure washing, and garage door refinishing. If you are deciding between paint and stain, our fence painting guide covers the tradeoffs honestly, and our fence staining service page has the details.
“Harmony Painting did an awesome job staining our fence. Carlos was great to work with, super responsive and professional. Israel and the crew showed up on time, did quality work, and left everything clean. The fence looks fantastic and it totally refreshed the yard. I would definitely use them again!”
“We recently had Harmony Painting paint the exterior of our home and fences, along with three of our neighbors’ homes, and the results were outstanding! The team was punctual, professional, and communicated clearly throughout the entire process… I highly recommend Harmony Painting to anyone looking for high-quality work and reliable service!”
“Spencer and his team did an incredible job of pressure washing, cleaning and staining our row of 5 townhouses. Julie and Spencer were so communicative and so easy to work with and the end result looked amazing! I can’t say enough good things about Harmony Painting! I would hire Harmony Painting again in a heartbeat!”
Carpentry and siding repair reviews
Paint fails fast over damaged wood. Because our crews handle carpentry and siding repair in-house, customers do not need to coordinate a separate contractor before painting starts. Carpentry work is mentioned in 8 of our Google reviews.
“Just finished having the exterior painted, broken siding replaced, shutters and post wraps added and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome! It’s beautiful! From the quote with Breslin to Kelly coordinating all of the work, to the carpentry work with Carlos and the painting with Francisco and his crew, everyone was very nice, patient, helpful and knowledgeable.”
“We needed several window trim boards replaced. Carlos, Sergio, Adrian, and the entire team worked diligently to ensure very few touch-ups were required upon completion… We obtained four quotes from various companies and Harmony landed in the middle. They were also the ONLY company that included Sherwin-Williams Emerald in their proposal, which is one of the best products on the market.”
“The builder for our townhouses skimped on the final exterior touches and paint. We didn’t notice until a few years of Colorado’s weather taking its toll. Our trim was warped, our paint was faded and cracked, it was a mess. We reached out to several painters and we went with Harmony because they do both paint and wood repair… There are several owners of these townhouses and Carlos somehow managed to work with each owner to obtain utmost satisfaction… our townhouses truly look better than new.”
Commercial, HOA, and multi-unit reviews
Hotels, condo buildings, school campuses, and HOA communities have different stakes: schedules, residents, safety, and property managers who answer to boards. See our commercial painting services and our HOA repaint playbook.
“This was one of the best choices that my company has ever made. Harmony Painting did an excellent job on the exterior of our hotel. The detail that the team did, led by Diego, was outstanding… Shelly the sales rep was awesome. She worked with us on a fair price and we are going to use them again in October. I also recommended them to the Best Western.”
“Harmony did an excellent job with repainting the exterior of our 3-story, 8 unit condo complex… We had complicated access and height issues which they were able to safely handle. Our building is stucco and they handled stucco repairs as well. They also were easy to work with before, during, and after the job and were courteous to our residents.”
“The entire Harmony team was amazing!! Estimator Breslin was very responsive and patient while I waited on the HOA; Project Director Carlos kept me posted every step of the way and answered all questions; Crew Leader Oscar and his team did a great job and turned the project around quickly; and Office Manager Julie responded immediately when I needed some paperwork. And of course the most important part is that the house looks fantastic and for a very fair price!!”
“We called on Harmony Painting for a complete exterior repaint [of a school building at Savio House]… We weren’t even sure what color we wanted the building to be, so Harmony Painting included a session with a color consultant. Our color consultant, Carrie, also made the trip to look at the building and discuss our options, which was invaluable!… The entire building was just about finished in only four days. In our final walkthrough, the team was proactive about touch-ups, marking them and fixing them right then and there — and we were nitpicky! The building looks GREAT!”
“We hired Harmony Painting for exterior stucco repairs, full house exterior painting and staining, and deck rail painting following a bad hailstorm. We increased the scope of work to include unrelated interior drywall repairs, interior touchup painting, and repainting of our interior garage walls… The Harmony team kept at this project until we were fully satisfied unlike many contractors who do the bare minimum and move on.”
Our imperfect reviews (yes, we are showing you these on purpose)
Out of 269 Google reviews, a small number are not five stars. We are not going to pretend they do not exist, because how a company responds when something goes wrong tells you more than a hundred perfect reviews. Here are two, unedited, with what happened and what we learned.
“When the job started, we faced many unfortunate road-bumps with the first crew that was sent to us — damage to our home and overall carelessness from the crew. After filing a complaint, Carlos worked closely with us to take care of our concerns. He came out to mend some of the errors himself, and then sent a new crew to mend the remainder of the errors made and finish the job. The second crew did a wonderful job — our walls and cabinets look great & they were very professional and respectful. In the end, we were happy with the final product of our kitchen, but were not pleased with some permanent damage left by the first crew… Carlos was very understanding of our dissatisfaction with that piece of the job and offered us a discount to compensate for it. My husband and I would use Harmony Painting again.”
What we took from it: a crew swap and a discount fixed most of it, but not all of it, and that is on us. This review changed how we vet and supervise newer crews. Every crew today works under a project director who checks work in progress, not just at the end.
“Pros: Harmony was able to book my interior painting request two days before starting work, the crew was able to complete in one single day, and overall did a decent job. Cons: I’ve found a bunch of areas needing touched up and although Carlos the project manager came to touch them up he used a different color than the ceiling so I can see the differences… Carlos did take a small portion off my total bill which was a nice gesture but Harmony should’ve done more.”
What we took from it: touch-ups must match exactly, which means recording the precise product and sheen used on every surface of every job. We do that now. And when a customer says we should have done more, the right answer usually is to do more.
What customers mention most
Google groups review topics automatically, so this is not our editorial spin; it is what 269 reviewers actually talked about. The pattern is consistent: named crew members, communication, prep and detail work, and pricing that lands in the middle of competing bids while including better products.
| Topic (per Google’s review analysis) | Reviews mentioning it |
|---|---|
| Painting crew quality | 12 |
| Quick response | 12 |
| Popcorn ceiling removal | 11 |
| Color consultation | 9 |
| Carpentry work | 8 |
| House painting | 8 |
| Color matching | 6 |
| Siding repair | 5 |
| Quote process | 5 |
One more pattern worth naming: reviewers repeatedly note that Harmony’s bids came in the middle of the pack, not the cheapest, while being the only bid to include Sherwin-Williams Emerald and two coats. If you want to understand why that matters at Denver’s altitude, our Denver painting FAQ page answers the pricing questions in detail.
